We mentioned that we were exploring the ESports gaming space by offering to sponsor a team in the upcoming Counterstrike competition. The team has been selected and we are proud to announce Team Airbitz! It’s customary for the sponsored team to take on the name of the organization sponsoring them. The players are from all around the US with one even from Canada and we’re happy to show our support for gaming across borders — just like bitcoin unites people across borders.
Team Airbitz is comprised of these up-and-coming gamers and here’s what they had to say:
- Hunter “Hunt7r” Duron: “I am really glad and proud to be part of Team Airbitz. For me it’s a dream coming true! I think that with this lineup we can do really big things!”
- Metin “TrollNGameHQ” Salieski: “I’m glad to have this opportunity to play for Airbitz and I can’t wait to see where this will take us as individual players and as a team.”
- Ashton “Soup” Baccam
- Austin “Otter” Shores: “This is a milestone in my life. Getting sponsored by an organization has always been my dream as a Gamer/Streamer. What makes this even better is that the sponsorship is also coming from my favorite Bitcoin wallet Airbitz! I know my team and I will represent them well and put a new name on the block thanks to this amazing opprotunity!”
- Vince “Flip” Susini: “As a team, we are all grateful for the opportunity from Airbitz. Organization has been extremely helpful with this entire process and we are extremely ecstatic to start competing and improving as a team. We look to bring as many opportunities for the company and our team as possible and hope all the best.”
