LINK has become one of the more popular assets in the crypto-asset space and recently found itself on a prestigious list published annually by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The WEF selects 100 of the most promising Technology Pioneers every year and Chainlink was amongst the chosen. Past recipients include Airbnb, Google, Kickstarter, Mozilla, Palantir Technologies, Spotify, TransferWise, Twitter and Wikimedia. Not bad company.
To learn more about LINK check out our previous blog post, covering the what, how, and why of LINK.
Here’s how you can acquire LINK in Edge:
Crypto to LINK
First, you need to create a LINK wallet. Go to your default Ethereum wallet and tap on the 3 dots on the right side.

If you already have a crypto-asset, all you have to do now is go to our crypto-to-crypto exchange scene and swap any asset you hold for LINK. There is no KYC/AML needed.

Fiat to LINK
If you want to go from fiat to LINK there are a few preliminary steps.
First go tap “Buy” at the bottom of your screen.

Type in the country you have financial accounts in.

Next, choose the exchange option that is most appropriate for you and complete their on-boarding process.
Once approved by the exchange, we recommend you buy ETH. We recommend keeping a little ETH in your Ethereum wallet because you will need ETH to send any LINK in the future. LINK lives on the Ethereum blockchain, so to make a LINK transaction you must pay ETH transaction fees.
Once the ETH has been deposited into your wallet, you can now swap that ETH into LINK as described in the beginning of the blog.
If you have any trouble or questions with any of these steps please reach out to our support team at support@edge.app. We’ll be happy to walk you through the process and answer any and all of your questions.
